This February 11, we're turning 11 years old y'all! Woohoo! Honestly, it's hard to believe. We celebrated our 10th in such grand style last year; after a rough 2018 when we thought we might close, reaching 10 felt like such a milestone. Little did we know! Two short weeks later the pandemic hit Austin. We lost 95% of our wholesale business overnight. And within a period of 10 days, we changed almost everything about how we operate. EXCEPT! We didn't change who we are and why we do it. And because of that, you rallied and kept us alive another year. THANK YOU! To that end, turning 11 feels like even more of an achievement. Spread The Love! That's our theme for this year's birthday celebration. You've been good to us, and kept us going during tough times, and we want to pay it forward. We can't ignore it. Our service industry friends are hurting and barely hanging on, if at all. Many of you are without a steady income. Our producers are working harder than ever to stay in the game. And resources are all around tight. So, we're doing our part to spread the love and pay it forward. But we need your participation to do it. So, will you help us spread the love?

Daily Giveaway - Support Austin Restaurants

For ten straight years, we've hosted #FreeCheeseWeek, giving away hundreds of cheese plates at restaurants around town. But it didn't sit right with us this year, asking them to give up a coveted patio seat or curbside parking spot. So, we're still giving many of our restaurant partners free cheese. But we want you to pay for it. Yep, tall ask! Each day, we'll spotlight a local dish that features our cheese. We hope you'll buy something - anything!- from that restaurant. And for those who like our Instagram post (no purchase necessary), we're going to draw a winner for a gift card to that restaurant. So free cheese? Yep, for our restaurants. And one lucky winner gets a free gift card to support them too.

Daily Giveaway - Support Texas Makers

We are so lucky to have amazing, talented, passionate good food makers in our community. When grocery shelves couldn't keep up in those early days, it was your local farmers who kept many of you fed and the supply chain moving when traditional distribution chains were disrupted and taken over by toilet paper needs. So we're spreading the love to them. Each day, we're featuring a trio that pairs well together and we'll share the makers' stories. You can buy the trio from our shop as a set or individual items. We'll also post to Instagram. If you comment and follow all three Texas makers, you're entered to win a goodie bag of that day's trio. (No purchase necessary. Yes, free cheese.) Our hope? You'll learn about some new makers and we can use our microphone to amplify their work. Hey, we can't stand across the case from you in the shop, but we can still tell you their stories! All are worthy Austin nonprofits making our communities better - addressing everything from food sustainability to social justice and more.
